Driver Insight: Oliver Webb

Oliver "Oli" James Webb is a British motor racing driver and is no stranger to fast cars. He's got a list of achievements that most seasoned racers would be envious of. He is a 2004 Karting Champion, 2007 Formula BMW Scholarship winner, 2010 Formula 3 competitor, 2014 European Le Mans series Champion, 2015 Dubai 24 Hour Champion, and W Motors Ambassador.

Oli commissioned us to create a helmet that was vivid, bold and paid homage to his success at the famous Le Mans circuit. We got Oli to answer a few quick fire questions on his current helmet.

IDC: What was the first helmet you ever had?

OW: A arai gp5 I think!

IDC: What’s the inspiration behind your current helmet?

OW: The colour of our bykolles car linked to the (Le Mans) circuit layout from above and coordinates.

IDC: What would your ultimate dream helmet design be?

OW: A red bull racing livery helmet ;)

IDC: Who had the most iconic helmet in history?

OW: I guess Senna but only through the achievements and name, it’s not my favourite visually. I always loved Vettel in Red Bull designs when he changes his.

IDC: Out of all of your custom helmets, which one means the most to you?

OW: Probably my formula Renault or F3 helmet, again just because of how good the racing was!

You can find Oli on most days, blasting around some of the worlds finest circuits and in some insanely extravagant sports cars! We're not too jealous! You can keep up with Oli over on his Instagram (https://www.instagram.com/oliverjameswebb/) but don't come crying to us when you get envious!
